Soham Museum Project
Soham Museum Project Open Day - Lodside Hall, Soham Village College on Saturday 11th October 2003 from 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Soham has a very long, rich and varied history which has been much ignored by
tourists and overshadowed by the more predominant towns and cities in the area
such as Ely, Newmarket, Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge.
Soham does not currently have a Museum of its own but The Soham Community
History Museum Project are actively planning to change this and obtain premises
within the centre of Soham itself to display its large collection of documents,
maps, pictures and artefacts from the towns past.
We would like to expand the History section of the site so if anyone has any
documents, maps or pictures of relevance please either send us some information
by e-mail in text or Word format. Soham Community History Museum is an ongoing
project. We are continually expanding our collection of artefacts and would be
very grateful for any donations or loans of documents, maps and pictures by
snail mail to the address in the credits section.
