SOHAM FESTIVAL SOCIETY
What is the Soham Festival ??? During the Spring of 2004, Soham Town Forum decided to re-create the Soham Festival which took place during the week leading up to the 51st Soham Carnival & Heavy Horse Show organised by Soham Benevolent Association. Many have asked if there will be further Festivals and in answer to this Soham Festival Society was formed in November 2004 as an independent platform to make this happen. The Soham Festival 2005 took place between Saturday 17th September 2005 until Saturday 24th September 2005 with numerous displays and performances to attend and it will return again at the end of May 2006 to celebrate the official twinning of Soham with Andrézieux-Bouthéon in France. Soham Festival Society have organised a 'French Week' which will consist of a variety of events with a largely Anglo-French flavour. This will then culminate with the official twinning of the two towns at the 53rd Soham Carnival & Heavy Horse Show on Bank Holiday Monday 29th May 2006 at 3.15pm.
Because we need support and encouragement across a wide section of the community, if the Festival is to continue !
Ridiculously little - £3 for an individual, £5 for two people at the same address. This is because we DON'T want your money -just enough to cover postage and administration costs
No! Of course we will be very happy if anyone gets more involved and helps in the work. But all we ask is for you to keep in touch with our activities, and hopefully attend some of our events
